Round 4, Pick 135: Dametrious Crownover, Offensive Tackle, Texas A&M

A likely long-term project, Dametrious Crownover has the size and athleticism that teams dream of at offensive tackle. The former tight end has a long way to go with his fundamentals, though, particularly with his footwork and pad level. The frame and potential might cause some teams to want to roll the dice on him in the fourth round.
The mistakes that Crownover makes in blocking come from discipline, so it’s not a skill issue. His hand placement, tall pad level in run blocking, and footwork are the things that are holding him back from being taken higher in the draft. If a line coach can clean up some of the sloppiness in his play, Crownover has an attractive upside that will be hard for teams to ignore at this point in the draft.
