Round 7, Pick 237: Noah Whittington, Running Back, Oregon

Noah Whittington was an effective downhill runner for the Ducks last season, but he has several knocks on him as an NFL prospect. He lacks burst on outside runs, is a non-factor as a pass-catcher out of the backfield, and will enter training camp at age 25. He was an efficient runner last season for Oregon, with 829 rushing yards on 129 carries and six rushing touchdowns.
Teams drafting Whittington will receive a player with six seasons of college football under his belt, which is a lot of experience at this point in the draft. The lack of top-end speed and receiving production certainly limits the number of available suitors for him. Despite these red flags, Whittington has college experience as a kick returner, which might help him make the cut on a roster this season.
