Round 6 Pick 198: Ted Hurst, Receiver, Georgia State

Ted Hurst is a name that is gaining traction in different league circles. Initially projected to go in the later rounds, His rising stock could see him land as early as the third round. In the event Hurst does find himself sliding, he is a great contrast to the Patriots’ current receiver group.
At 6’5″ and a 35″ vertical, the Georgia State receiver brings a big target that has the ability to go up and get those 50/50 balls. His Senior Bowl 1v1s displayed quick footwork for his size, though he at times struggled with shaking press coverage. He also struggled to use his size against smaller corners, making for much tougher catches.
Hurst has the tangibles to be a legitimate deep threat, given time, and could add a nice wrinkle to the Maye-led passing attack.
