Round 2, Pick 45: Zion Young, Edge, Missouri

To say that Baltimore struggled to rush the passer in 2025 would be a massive understatement. The team recorded 30 sacks on defense, tied for the third-fewest in the NFL. Signing Trey Hendrickson during free agency was an improvement, but the Ravens need another rusher to complement him. Maxx Crosby would’ve been a perfect fit, but a failed physical kept that signing from happening. Picking Zion Young in the second round represents good value at a position of need.
Young earned All-SEC First Team honors in 2025 with a team-high 16.5 tackles for loss and 6.5 sacks. The prototype edge defender at 6’6″ and 262 pounds, he has all the tools to grow and flourish in the NFL. One area Young has to improve on is having a backup plan when the initial rush doesn’t work. That weakness can be improved with coaching, and the Ravens can upgrade an area of need in the second round.
