Round 5, Pick 174: Seth McGowan, Running Back, Kentucky

The Ravens’ RB room is in an interesting spot in 2025. Derrick Henry is still productive despite his age (1,595 rushing yards and 16 touchdowns last season) Justice Hill is a solid backup, and Rasheen Ali is approaching the end of his rookie deal. Taking a runner in the draft makes sense for Baltimore from a roster-building standpoint. Seth McGowan could offer depth for 2026 and might lead to some fascinating decisions for the front office down the road.
A short-yardage specialist, McGowan rushed for 725 yards and 12 touchdowns in 2025. His ability to read blocks and contribute to pass protection adds to his value in the fifth round. McGowan doesn’t offer much out of the backfield, struggles with ball security, and lacks the explosiveness to threaten a defense. He would have a niche as part of an RB stable, and Baltimore could go that direction when Henry’s production falls off.
