Round 4, Pick 115: Jude Bowry, Offensive Tackle, Boston College

The offensive tackle position for Baltimore is less of a question mark than the interior is. Ronnie Stanley and Roger Rosengarten are returning starters, but Stanley is entering his 11th year in the NFL. It would be prudent for the Ravens to develop a tackle for the future. Selecting Jude Bowry bolsters the team’s depth at a low investment cost.
Bowry has the potential to develop into a starter, with a 6’5″ frame and the seventh-best OT athleticism score at the NFL Scouting Combine. He has the tools to shine as a pass protector in the league. The inconsistency in his technique gives teams trepidation about investing a pick in Bowry. A prospect with some risk, he could improve his game in Baltimore by watching established starters until he’s ready to take the next step.
