Round 2, Pick 62: Anthony Hill Jr., LB, Texas

Denver Broncos mock draft, 2026 nfl draft, Anthony Hill, Texas

Denver enters the draft at the tail end of round two. With 61 players off the board and their next pick not until the fourth round, the Broncos must hit on this pick. The biggest weakness on the roster is the middle linebacker group. Anthony Hill Jr. can immediately be plugged into the heart of the defense.

Hill is a solid, prototypical linebacker, displaying a downhill, nose-for-the-ball style of play. At 6’2″ and 238 pounds, he racked up 249 total tackles, 17 sacks, 31.5 tackles for loss, and three interceptions over a 40-game span in his collegiate career. While Hill made a name for himself stuffing the run and blitzing the quarterback, he also showed hybrid skills in pass coverage, both in man and zone. His versatility makes him an elite chess piece with the ability to rush off the edge or hold the center of the field. There are flashes of greatness on tape, displaying skills comparable to those of a Jerod Mayo or a Bobby Wagner-type linebacker. If Hill slides to the end of the second, Denver will have found its core defender for years to come.
