After a disappointing 2025, where the Colts went 8-9, they traded their top receiver (Michael Pittman) to the Pittsburgh Steelers. Then they signed Alec Pierce to a four-year deal worth $114 million. He will be the team’s top option this season, despite only catching 47 balls last year. He did average a whopping 21.3 yards per catch, but he’ll need a solid number two on the opposite side to make his deal worth it.

Diggs would be battling Josh Downs for that spot, and it should be an easy battle to win. Downs had 58 receptions last season for 566 yards, almost half the production that Diggs had with the Patriots. Should the former Viking join Indianapolis, it’s highly likely he’d lead the team in receptions in 2026.
