The 49ers’ top receiver was supposed to be Brandon Aiyuk before he went completely AWOL. His social media posts suggest he both wants to play for the Commanders next season and also trashes them. He may be completely out of the NFL when all is said and done. The receiving corps is now headlined by Mike Evans.

Ricky Pearsall is the current number two on the depth chart (36 receptions for 528 yards last year), but Diggs could unseat him in one practice. It would also be a chance for Diggs to get back to the Super Bowl on a team that always wins double-digit games. Brock Purdy would greatly appreciate the signing if it came to pass.
