Darius Acuff Jr.
Sacramento drills its pick at number seven with Acuff Jr. They needed a point guard and landed arguably the best one in this class. Acuff Jr. displayed offensive abilities at the collegiate level that will translate into immediate success in the NBA. He is a dynamic scorer and effective playmaker. In his one season at Arkansas, he averaged 23.5 points, 3.1 rebounds, and 6.4 assists per game. He is already polished offensively, and his potential is through the roof.
Acuff Jr. will find him in the Kings’ starting point guard role sooner rather than later. They have solid guard play at the two with Zach LaVine and Malik Monk, but they lack a point guard after the departure of De’Aaron Fox. They have Russell Westbrook, who’s way past his prime and not much else. Acuff Jr. immediately becomes their best option at point guard and will get unlimited opportunities to shine and become the Kings’ franchise player.
