Darryn Peterson

Peterson may be a slight steal at number two overall, because some experts thought he should have been the number one pick, and for good reason. He’s a 6’5″ combo guard with elite skills and tremendous scoring ability. His frame and versatility are what set him apart. He was limited to just 29 minutes per game as a freshman at Kansas last season, but still averaged 20.2 points, 4.2 rebounds, and 1.6 assists per game. Peterson has the potential to be an NBA superstar, provided he stays healthy and gets proper development.
The Utah Jazz have built a nice young backcourt with Isaiah Collier and Keyonte George. It’s unclear whether Peterson will join them in the starting lineup or come off the bench for his rookie season, but he’s an incredible piece and will emerge as a star and a face of the franchise for years to come.
