2026 NBA Draft: The Best Picks

The Los Angeles Lakers moved up one pick, from 25 to 24, to select Carr, a guard out of Baylor. His selection so late in the first round was a surprise because he has great athleticism and is a good shooter. He averaged 18.9 points, 5.8 rebounds, and 2.6 assists per game with the Bears last season.

Carr adds depth to the Lakers’ backcourt and has the upside to become a factor down the road for Los Angeles. His style of play complements Luka Doncic and Austin Reaves perfectly as well.
