4. Kansas City Signs Super Bowl MVP Kenneth Walker III

The Chiefs finished dead last in rushing yards last season (1,812), and adding a dynamic running back like Walker gives the offense a huge boost. The three-year, $43.05 million deal makes him the sixth-highest-paid rusher in the league heading into 2026.
Pairing Walker with All-World quarterback Patrick Mahomes gives Kansas City a dangerous backfield and keeps opposing defenses on their toes. The Chiefs will have shorter second- and third-down yardages to gain, and Mahomes can rely on play-action. The move sets the quarterback up for success much better than last season.
Walker is a significant upgrade over Kareem Hunt, who led the team with 611 rushing yards last season. The Super Bowl MVP racked up 1,027 yards, averaging 4.6 yards per carry, and is a weapon in the passing game as well.
Walker is only 25, and should prove to be a workhorse for the Chiefs. He will get more opportunities than he did in Seattle, and under head coach Andy Reid, that could be a terrifying proposition for the rest of the AFC West.
