Los Angeles Dodgers
There’s no secret in the sport: The Los Angeles Dodgers are willing to buy anyone and anything that they can to secure the first three-peat since the 1998-2000 Yankees dynasty.
The Dodgers’ farm system is deep, fresh, and holds everything the Tigers want in a Skubal trade. Some of Detroit’s offensive issues stem from a lack of production at first base and parts of the outfield. While the Tigers did call up Max Clark recently, the team could benefit from the services of Mike Sirota and Josue De Paula replacing Matt Vierling and Kerry Carpenter. What might complete the deal is snagging James Tibbs III and placing him at first, kicking out Spencer Torkelson.
Pitching-wise, the Tigers still have Casey Mize and are waiting for Jackson Jobe to come back from Tommy John surgery. The team has a severe lack of pitching prospects and needs to replace dead weight in Keider Montero and Jack Flaherty. Thanks to their super bullpen, the Dodgers could trade away Emmet Sheehan or Eric Lauer and still turn to their farm system.
