Round 7, Pick 229: Fernando Carmona, Guard, Arkansas

Tampa Bay Buccaneers mock draft, 2026 nfl draft, Arkansas, Fernando Carmona

With their final pick in the 2026 NFL Draft, the Bucs go back to the interior of the offensive line, with their selection of Fernando Carmona out of Arkansas. He is 6’5 and 316 pounds, so he has ideal size for the position. He could even bounce out to tackle in a pinch. He has incredible strength and shows that power in the running game, where he blows up players on the first level and gets to the second level quickly.

Carmona shows a good blend of athleticism, thanks to starting his career at tight end. He does not have a ton of flexibility and tends to get a little overly aggressive. He will likely be a practice squad and special teams player at the start, but a good offensive line coach could turn him into a legit blocking machine. All in all, the theme of this draft for the Buccaneers was power. They addressed what they needed to, and skipped on the glitz and glamour of skill positions.
