Round 4, Pick 116: Chris McClellan, Defensive Tackle, Missouri

Tampa Bay continues to draft players on the front seven of the defense, as they should. With two edge rushers and a middle linebacker already in their pockets, they turn their attention to defensive tackle. They grab Missouri’s Chris McClellan with pick 117. He has exceptional size for the middle of the defense, standing 6’4 and weighing 313 pounds.
McClellan played all 13 games for the Tigers in 2025, registering 48 tackles (8 for a loss) and six sacks. He will not need to shed weight in the pros, and once he gets his hands on the ball carrier, he takes the runner down. He is an extraordinary tackler. He is not the most explosive, but he is insanely strong, pushing interior linemen backwards with his bull rush. He will need to improve hand placement and hand moves against blockers who are stronger than him.
