Round 5, Pick 155: Jager Burton, Center, Kentucky

Graham Barton is the current starting center for the Bucs, but he may slide to guard when Cody Mauch leaves in 2027 free agency. Even if the team retains Mauch, they are slated to lose their two backup guards. To address this, they grab Kentucky’s Jager Burton with the 155th pick in the 2026 NFL Draft. At 6’4 and 312 pounds, he has the size to play anywhere on the interior line.
Burton managed 28 reps at 225 pounds and ran a sub-five-second forty (4.94). He shows a good awareness in both the run and pass blocking games. He also shows great teamwork in the blocking game and will be an asset at guard or center. He can be a little too handsy in pass blocking, lunging, and potentially getting penalties.
