Brian Bresee has not produced the way he was expected to when the Saints picked him 29th overall in the 2023 NFL Draft. He has recorded just 14.5 total sacks over three years, and New Orleans has not picked up his fifth-year option, since it would be for $13 million. With their third-round selection in 2026, they grab Tennessee edge rusher Joshua Josephs.

Starting all 11 regular-season contests in 2025, Josephs had a 90 pass rush grade from Pro Football Focus (PFF). He recorded 33 tackles and four sacks as a senior, had two fumble recoveries, and three passes defended. He stands just 6’3 but boasts an 82″ wingspan, which he uses well. He has explosiveness, which showed up in his 4.68 forty time, and he uses that to blow past slower offensive linemen.

Josephs has incredible bend, and once he’s around the corner, he explodes into tackles, whether that’s a QB sack or a tackle for a loss. He needs to be better against tight-end chip blocks and needs to improve his tackling technique, as he missed 23.5% of tackles last season.
