This 2026 Kansas City Chiefs mock draft will try to right a sinking ship. To say 2025 was a disappointment for the team would be a gross understatement. Following a trip to a Super Bowl (and loss to the Philadelphia Eagles), the Chiefs finished last year 6-11. They would be the worst team in the AFC West if it weren’t for how pitiful the Las Vegas Raiders are.

Kansas City’s defense was fine, ranking sixth in points allowed (19.3 ppg) and 10th in yards allowed (5,126). They were great at stuffing the run, but were tragic in defending the pass. They allowed opposing quarterbacks to completed 66.8% of their passes (27th in the NFL) and managed just 35 sacks on the year (25th). They also recorded just 14 turnovers on the year (27th). The defense was amazing compared to the offense, though.

Patrick Mahomes had the lowest completion percentage (62.7%) of his entire career, before an injury ended his season after a 6-8 start. The offense scored just 21.3 points per game (21st) and fracked up 5,451 yards (20th). They have nine picks in the 2026 NFL Draft, including two first-round picks. There are no trades in this mock draft, so the Chiefs will have to pick exactly where they are scheduled to in every round.

Next: Round 1, Pick 9
