Round 7, Pick 241: Dominic Zvada, Kicker, Michigan

With their final pick in the 2026 NFL Draft, the Bears take the best kicker in college football. Cairo Santos is 34-years-old, which may be 12 in kicker years, but it has to be taken into consideration. The 12-year veteran was 25 of 30 last season on field goal attempts, including 4-6 from 50 yards or more. Michigan kicker Dominic Zvada could still be an upgrade, which would allow the Bears to move on from Santos and save $3.2 million.
Zvada was 17 of 25 last season for the Wolverines and made all 43 of his extra points. He may have had consistency issues last year, but he was clutch when he needed to be and posted a career-long 56-yard field goal. His 95.5% accuracy in field goals in 2024 is a Michigan record, which included 7/7 from 50 or more yards. Like any special teams player taken in round seven, this is a low-risk and high-reward option.
