Round 4, Pick 129: Parker Brailsford, Center, Alabama

Chicago sticks with the offensive line in round four. The most important thing is protecting the franchise quarterback, who will eventually be the first Bears player to throw for more than 4,000 yards. Garrett Bradbury was brought over from the New England Patriots, but he is a free agent after the season, and would have to blow away the front office to stick around. With pick 129, Chicago takes Alabama center, Parker Brailsford.
Brailsford will need to add some bulk at the pro level. He measures in at 6’2 and 290 pounds. He runs the forty under five seconds (4.95) and can bench 225 pounds 27 times. He gets off the snap quickly and displays quick hands. He is a relentless fighter, which makes sense as an undersized player in a physical position. His 17 penalties in three seasons are concerning, so coaching will be imperative.
