This Chicago Bears mock draft will try to build off a successful first season for head coach Ben Johnson. After finishing 2024 5-12, the team brought in the former Detroit Lions offensive coordinator to turn things around. That they did, finishing 11-6, and winning the NFC North. They had a top-10 scoring offense (25.9 points per game) and a top-10 in total yards (6,282).

Despite having the 2024 first overall pick, Caleb Williams, leading the offense, the team’s real accomplishment was finishing third in the NFL in rushing yards (2,456). Only the Buffalo Bills and Baltimore Ravens had more yards on the ground, and both teams feature quarterbacks who are more mobile than Williams, which means the Bears did it with their running backs.

Chicago’s defense was not as good in 2025, allowing 24.4 points per game (23rd in the league) and giving up 6,150 yards (29th). The Bears were gashed on the ground, giving up more than 2,200 yards, which means they may need to focus more energy on the defensive line in the draft than on offensive weapons. There were no trades in this mock draft, and players who fit the Bears’ needs weren’t available when the team was picking, so this entire draft was more about best player than need.

Next: Round 1, Pick 25
