Round 2, Pick 57: Elijah Sarratt, Wide Receiver, Indiana

chicago bears mock draft, 2026 nfl draft, indiana, elijah sarratt

Wide receiver is not a pressing need for the team, at least not so much that it should use a second-round pick on one, but in this mock draft, the best tackle available would have been an extreme reach at pick 57. Rome Odunze is a stud for Chicago, but their number two is Luther Burden, and he is just okay. They traded DJ Moore to the Bills, so they use their second pick on Indiana’s Elijah Sarratt.

The 6’2 and 210-pound split end for the Hoosiers is not an athletic freak. He runs the forty in 4.60 seconds. This supposed lack of speed didn’t prevent Sarratt from racking up 200 receptions and nearly 3,000 yards in his college career. Last season, he posted a career best 15 touchdowns. He wins against defenders with elite body control and amazing hands.

Sarratt also runs crisp routes to create separation against faster corners. He is strong, but so are NFL corners. He will need to get stronger and/or develop release techniques against press coverage. Every route he runs is crisp, but he needs a bigger route tree to be effective at the next level.

Next: Round 2, Pick 60
