Round 7, Pick 252: Cameron Ball, Defensive Tackle, Arkansas

The Rams have back-to-back picks to close out the 2026 NFL Draft. Continuing the trend of adding depth to the defense, Arkansas’ Cameron Ball should be the final pick to find a new home in Hollywood. Poona Ford is firmly entrenched as the starting nose tackle, so Ball will compete with Ty Hamilton and Bill Norton as Ford’s backup.

Ball had the advantage of playing in the SEC, where he faced some of the nation’s best centers and guards. He has top-notch quickness and strength and can hold one-on-one blocks, giving maximum effort on every play. He does struggle against double teams, but he isn’t Aaron Donald and doesn’t have to worry about overpowering two defenders at once. It’s much more likely that Jared Verse, Braden Fiske, Kobie Turner, or Byron Young will face double teams, allowing Ball to do what he does best. He does need to improve his handwork, but has the potential to be a solid rotational player.
