Round 1, Pick 13: Makai Lemon, Wide Receiver, USC

There’s no guarantee that Makai Lemon will be available at pick 13, as he’s a top-ten talent and arguably the best wide receiver in this year’s draft. If he is available, Lemon should stay in Los Angeles, giving the Rams the steal of the draft. He won the 2025 Fred Biletnikoff Award as the best wide receiver in the country, after only dropping the ball three times over 175 targets. He may not be the fastest wide receiver in the draft after running a 4.48-second forty, but neither was Puka Nacua.
The Rams lost Tutu Atwell to the Tennessee Titans in free agency, so Lemon fills that spot perfectly. The trio of Lemon, Nacua, and Adams would resemble another lethal wide receiver trio that resides in Tampa Bay: Emeka Egbuka, Chris Godwin, and Mike Evans. Defenses didn’t know how to cover the Tampa Bay Buccaneers receivers, and the same would be true with Los Angeles. Egbuka has replaced Evans in Tampa Bay, and Lemon would replace Adams once the latter leaves. A tandem of Nacua and Lemon would keep defensive coordinators awake at night.
Lemon fits the Rams’ system perfectly, as it’s a spread passing game designed to get wide receivers open. He has excellent ball-tracking skills, which will be invaluable when Stafford elects to throw the ball deep. He had obvious chemistry with USC quarterback Jordan Maiava, so there’s no reason to expect any less between Lemon and Stafford.
