A Los Angeles Chargers mock draft will be short and sweet, as the team only has five picks. The draft in the first (22), second (55), third (86), fourth (123), and sixth (204). They have a number of different holes to fill, and their biggest need (Edge) is not incredibly deep in 2026. In Free agency, the team brought in running back Keaton Mitchell from the Baltimore Ravens, defensive lineman Dalvin Tomlinson from the Arizona Cardinals, guard Cole Strange from the Miami Dolphins, and center Tyler Biadasz from the Washington Commanders.
The Chargers were also able to re-sign edge rusher Khalil Mack to a one-year deal, and he is still playing at an elite level. He created 23 pressures and 11 hurries last season for a scoring defense that ranked ninth in the league (20.0ppg). The offense did not perform as well as expected, averaging just 21.6 points per game (20th in the NFL). They did go 11-6 and make the playoffs, but if they want to get to the promised land, they’ll need to get better through the draft, now that free agency is winding down.
