Round 6, Pick 183: Cade Klubnik, Quarterback, Clemson

Arizona Cardinals mock, 2026 nfl draft, clemson, cade klubnik

Quarterback is the biggest need for the Cardinals. Fernando Mendoza is going number one overall, and the next best signal caller in the draft is Ty Simpson from Alabama. Three is too high to take him, and in every mock draft, he was available at 34, but in reality, he will be long gone by then. He is a player the Cardinals could move up or down for, but in a “no-trade” draft, the team gets its quarterback for now in round six.

The Cardinals are looking ahead to a loaded quarterback class in 2027, but for now, they take a guy who was considered a day-one pick before the season started. Cade Klubnik had a 6:1 touchdown-to-interception ratio in 2024 (36 to 6). He also averaged 260 yards per game. Last year, he managed only 16 touchdowns while starting 12 games. He may not start for Arizona, but a good backup option for years to come.

Klubnik sports a quick release, which is essential at the next level. He has great pocket awareness and goes through his reads well. He is slightly undersized at 6’2 and lacks elite arm strength, but can make the throws he needs to. This is a nice pick as a flyer who could pan out, or a backup on a cheap sixth-round deal.

Next: Round 7, Pick 217
