The New York Yankees have called up their sixth-best prospect, Spencer Jones, to the big leagues in response to Jasson Dominguez’s unfortunate injury. Bellinger may not be as tall as the others, but he can rack up the hits and defend the field just as well.

High Ceiling for Spencer Jones

Jones will grow and flourish with this opportunity to play in MLB. He should become a Gold Glove Award winner within the next few seasons because of his ability to play multiple outfield positions and adjust on the fly. He will also have a Silver Slugger Award in his sights within the next few seasons. This is due to his offensive ability, which is not solely based on power. He understands how to work into hitter-friendly counts and induce walks. He does struggle with his strikeout rate, but so did his new teammate, Judge, when he was first called up to the bigs.

Judge and Bellinger are both MVP winners in their own right and have a well-established presence in New York. Jones will have to navigate his own way under the bright lights and glamour of the Bronx. It will be a challenge, but he will rise to the occasion, as he has found a way to succeed at every level of baseball. His flexibility and determination are even more reasons why he was so valued as a prospect for the Yankees.

Judge, Bellinger, and Jones could become one of the most feared outfields ever assembled in MLB history. They may not immediately rival the 1961 Yankees outfield of Roger Maris, Mickey Mantle, and Yogi Berra or the 1995 Indians outfield of Albert Belle, Kenny Lofton, and Manny Ramirez. With a bit of time to develop chemistry, Judge, Bellinger, and Jones will be a daunting offensive and defensive trio for anyone who faces them.
