Round 5, Pick 149: Demond Claiborne, Running Back, Wake Forest

Quinshon Judkins will likely be getting most of Cleveland’s carries in 2026, following a strong rookie season where he rushed for 827 yards and seven touchdowns. Behind him, the Browns don’t have a running back with substantial experience in the NFL, with Jerome Ford leaving in free agency. Adding another player to the running back stable should be a priority between now and training camp, and Demond Claiborne is an option for the Browns.
Claiborne brings both experience and production with 44 games played, as well as 179 rushes for 907 yards and ten touchdowns. He was also a solid receiving option out of the backfield, with 140 yards on 28 catches. Claiborne’s athleticism is apparent, with his 4.37 40-yard dash and home run ability on the ground. At 5’10” and 188 pounds, he is undersized for the position, but he certainly has value as a change-of-pace back.
