The Patriots are in the midst of the Vrabel’s scandal noise, doubt from the media in their legitimacy as a contender, and high expectations by fans to rebound after their Super Bowl loss. The pressure is on for the young team.
Diggs will bring back a major piece in maintaining the culture that Vrabel brought in last year. Every week throughout the 2025 season, Diggs held the line behind Maye, led pregame speeches, elevated the team’s play, and was the voice of belief on the sideline. He is the type of player who will drown out the noise and, of course, add more firepower to the offense.
The Pats did not add any receivers in the draft. New England focused elsewhere, including adding protection for their quarterback.
