After several weeks of speculation, Jordan Seaton LSU Transfer Portal decision has been announced. The true sophomore, who spent last season playing for the Colorado Buffaloes, will now anchor an offensive line in front of the Tigers’ quarterback, Sam Leavitt.
Seaton is the newest transfer portal addition by head coach Lane Kiffin, who has been rapidly building towards the college football playoff and a potential national championship. He brings two years of starting experience and is an absolute monster in both the run and pass games.
A Freshman All-American in 2024, last season, Seaton posted a pass blocking grade of
91.4 on Pro Football Focus (PFF), which was the best score for any offensive lineman in the country. He missed the final three games of the season in 2025 due to an injury, but it’s not expected to affect his availability in 2026.

ESPN gave the Bradenton, Florida, product a grade of 90 and five stars, making him the top offensive tackle in the class of 2024 and the 19th-ranked overall prospect in the class. He was heavily recruited and chose Coach Prime and the Buffaloes over Alabama, Florida, and Tennessee.
Seaton declined NIL deals over $1 million in order to play in Boulder, which made him a bargain when he allowed quarterback Shedeur Sanders to be sacked just two times in 579 passing snaps. He comes in with two more years of eligibility, but it would not surprise anyone if he declares for the NFL Draft after the 2026 season.
Jordan Seaton’s LSU Future Looks Bright
Draft Sharks has Seaton listed as the ninth overall pick in the 2027 NFL Draft, assuming he plays to the end of his college eligibility. A good season and a great showing during Bowl season could push him into the top five of the 2026 class.
Kiffin also brought in defensive end Princewill Umanmielen from Ole Miss to give him three of the top five players in the portal. With this domino to fall, there aren’t many star players left in the portal for teams to grab. One thing is certain: LSU will be extremely tough to deal with in 2026.
