The Patriots can be a top team in the NFL this upcoming season despite their tough schedule. A team doesn’t make the Super Bowl because of an “easy schedule”. Although they fell short, bad teams don’t make it that far, and it’s that simple. The Patriots are a great football team in offense, defense, and coaching. Last season was no fluke, and it’s going to show.

Record Prediction

The Patriots have drawn much tougher opponents this season, and it will be a big test to see if they’re legit. Based on the schedule, New England will be back in the playoffs this upcoming year, but it will be difficult. In division play, four or five wins will happen throughout their matchups between the Jets, Dolphins, and Bills. Many games look like toss-ups where the Patriots should collect another four wins and then one or two games that they should just flat out win. A downgrade in record is likely to happen, but nine to 10 wins is a good target for a successful season in New England.

Overall Season Outlook

New England showed an incredible amount of improvement last season, and it will show this year as well. Between the way they looked last year and improvements this offseason, they will be back for a good season behind head coach Mike Vrabel and quarterback Drake Maye. Expect New England to remain a dangerous team and be back in the playoffs regardless of the schedule.
