Round 3, Pick 96: Caden Curry, Edge, Ohio State

Caden Curry was not the most explosive or productive player on Ohio State’s defense last season, but the Styles brothers won’t be there at pick 96. Curry more than held his own in 2025, racking up 16.5 tackles for a loss and 11 sacks on the season. This is in large part because of how quickly he gets off the line. His straight-line speed may not impress (4.78 forty), but he surprises even the best offensive linemen off the snap.
He is a smidge undersized for a three-down edge, at 6’3 and 260 pounds. He could be a rotational player to start with, and eventually work his way into the starting lineup consistently. He is not easily fooled and can quickly determine whether the play is a pass or run and react accordingly. He is always around the ball if he is not making the tackle himself.
He may struggle late into games, when he gets tired, and his pass repertoire is limited to one or two moves. This might affect his play as a rookie, but again, he will develop better stamina and contribute late in games as he gets older.
