Round 5, Pick 145: Eli Raridon, Tight End, Notre Dame

Eli Raridon is an interesting mix of strength and athleticism. Considered primarily as a strong blocking tight end, he will add more physicality to the offense, matching the Harbaugh style of building a football team. The Giants already have a decent tight end in Theo Johnson, who put up over 500 yards and five touchdowns last season. The duo allows for the use of “twelve” personnel, making it a challenge for defenses. Raridon’s blocking can also help to add more protection for Dart.
Raridon’s tape also shows a sneaky speed and good ball skills that seem to be flying a little under the radar. With 4.62 speed, 36″ vertical, and a height of 6’6″, he is a physical specimen. Raridon is still developing as a player, but has the tangibles to be a threat over the middle and especially the red zone.
