The Philadelphia 76ers dug themselves a deep hole by going down 3-1 against the Boston Celtics in the first round of the NBA Playoffs. Instead of giving up, they find themselves heading into a crucial Game 7 in Boston on Saturday due to a multitude of efforts from their starters and bench. If they defeat the Celtics in Game 7, they will become the 14th team in NBA postseason history to come back from a 3-1 series deficit.

Trust The Process

Joel Embiid returned to action in Game 4 after being sidelined for almost three weeks due to an appendectomy. Rejoining the lineup, it has helped spread the Celtics defense and made the Philadelphia offense not rely on other Sixer big men as heavily.

Embiid was a big factor in the 76ers’ Game 5 victory, dropping 33 points. He was an even bigger factor in their Game 6 triumph because he posted a near triple-double with 19 points, 10 rebounds, and eight assists. He is one of those players who, when he is in the lineup, helps make everyone around him better. “The Process”, as he was known earlier on in his career, has another opportunity to defeat the Celtics in the postseason.

Playoff P Is Here To Play

Paul George has been the most consistent of the 76ers in terms of offensive production. He is shooting 54.3% (19/35) from behind the arc to give Philadelphia some clutch points when they have needed them most. Despite missing 25 games earlier this season stemming from a violation of the NBA’s anti-drug policy, “Playoff P” is here to play. He has been versatile in the lineup and willing to do what it takes to help the Sixers win. His clutch shooting will be vital on the road for Game 7.
