Cowboys Push the Chips In Without Breaking the Bank and Trade Up to 9

At pick nine, there is a possibility of the Kansas City Chiefs trading back with the Cowboys. This would most likely happen if the Cowboys value either Delane or Bain more than the Chiefs do. These two players have a chance to fall here, and while they do fit Kansas City’s positional needs, Dallas is desperate for defensive help and may offer a deal to move up three spots that they cannot resist.
Another potential catalyst for a trade-up here is if Bain and Delane are both gone, as well as all the other previously mentioned players on Dallas’ radar, but wide receiver Jordyn Tyson is available. The Cowboys have made it known that if a player they are in love with falls, they will not hesitate to take them, regardless of the side of the ball they play.
This possibility has gained even more steam when it was announced by Co-Owner Stephen Jones that star wide receiver George Pickens will play this season on the franchise tag and that no extension will be made this offseason. This opens up the idea that Pickens may be gone next year, and WR2 will yet again be a big need. Tyson, who is some people’s WR1 in this class, can help to prevent this from becoming a problem in the future.
