The NBA finals would be the real challenge. The defending champion Oklahoma City Thunder and the San Antonio Spurs are the two teams in the West to watch out for. OKC has the reigning MVP and current favorite to win it again, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander. San Antonio has an absolute specimen in Victor Wembanyama. Both of these teams look dominant with the two best records in the league. They would pose hard matchups for the Celtics.
Ultimately, Boston can go all the way at full strength. Their path throughout the East is definitely winnable. The finals would be the test where they would be underdogs, depending on the opponent. This team has the assets and chemistry to win it all, just like in 2024.
